About Fighting Owl Films

Thomas Smith is the founder and director of Fighting Owl Films. The Mobile, Alabama-based independent film production group has produced several critically-acclaimed, festival-screened shorts since 2007, and in 2010, produced its first feature film, The Night Shift, a supernatural action-adventure. The feature was positively received by critics, and named Best Fantasy Feature at the 2011 Shockerfest International Film Festival, which led the way to a 2011 DVD distribution deal with R-Squared Films. Thomas has quickly made a name for himself as an ambitious filmmaker who is not only a talented director, but a gifted writer. He is currently working on multiple projects, with several slated shorts and a feature in development.

Erin Lilley

Producer, Actress, Voice Talent

Erin began her acting career at age three, performing in her family's living room. Her love of the stage continued with principal roles in community and university theatres, and eventually led to an internship with Mobile Opera and the title role in American Family Theatre's national tour of *Beauty and the Beast (*she was the Beauty). Erin began working with Fighting Owl Films at its inception, starting as an actor and working her way up to producer. Away from the camera, she is an accomplished classical singer, and occasional contributing writer to various magazines and blogs.

Khristian Fulmer

Actor, Stunts

Khristian's dream of becoming an actor began in middle school, and led him to a BFA in Theatre Performance from Shorter College. Years later, as a gunfighter, he met Carly, his future wife. A few more years later, Khristian would work with Fighting Owl Films on their first short; this collaboration led to their full length feature The Night Shift. Khristian's dream of being an actor is fulfilled by working with Fighting Owl Films, and when those projects come, he feels blessed to be acting with friends.

Soren Odom


Soren began his career with Fighting Owl Films in 2007 as a script supervisor on the short Camp Hill. He has since discovered himself in a variety of production positions including: director of photography, assistant director, actor, and writer. Soren's favorite contribution to FOF is providing original music and underscoring the fantastic worlds conceived by writer/director Thomas Smith. Soren is currently working on his second degree from the University of South Alabama; a degree in Music.
