Fighting Owl Films was founded in 2003 as a production moniker for our student films. The name stuck, despite our best efforts. After a brief hiatus, Fighting Owl Films resumed the production of short films in 2007. Since then we've produced several shorts that, while low budget in nature, have received solid reviews from across the web and have been featured in numerous film festivals across the country. These films served as a warm-up to producing a feature and allowed us to find out what worked, what didn't and what interested us most.

In the summer of 2010 Fighting Owl Films began principal photography on its first feature film The Night Shift, based on the successful short of the same name that was produced in 2009. The short received a glowing review from Fangoria Online, among other sites, and its warm reception inspired us to adapt the story into a feature film.
