CAMP HILL
Synopsis:
Currently titled Camp Hill, the film follows an up and coming
rock band as they go on an underfunded tour to promote their first
album. When their dilapidated van finally breaks down the group of
friends, their girlfriends and manager are stranded on the back roads of
rural America. After stumbling upon an abandoned hunting lodge the group
accidentally unleashes an ancient evil with the ability to possess the
recently deceased. Quickly, the
fun and excitement the
bickering friends were hoping for quickly turns to terror. That Thing
You Do with blood thirsty demons.
Shooting Format: DV. Shooting on film stock would be fantastic but
for a low budget film it's just not cost effective. The cost of film
stock, processing and editing can run into the hundreds of thousands
thus eating away the budget. We're planning to shoot on high-end digital
video and making it look as close to film as possible.
How we'll keep the budget low: We're going to keep our film's budget
low without sacrificing quality. Shooting on DV will save a massive
amount of money. That's money we can put into other areas of the
production. We're planning on making the film a 'Community Production',
if you will. As many of our actors, crew, and filming locations will be
from the local area. We're also pairing the crew down to the bare
minimum - director of photography, sound, lighting, make-up effects, and
production assistant.

Soundstage/Indoor space where we can build our Cabin Interior and film
for a few days

All
positions are on a volunteer basis.
Director of Photography - strong knowledge of lighting desired,
experience a plus
Make-Up Effects - for the creation of grotesque monster makeup and
practical special effects (wounds, stabs, etc)
