Casting Call - Demon Squad: Tooth & Claw

Fighting Owl Films is now casting for its new independent feature film Demon Squad: Tooth & Claw. A sequel to 2019’s Demon Squad, the film sees the return of paranormal investigators Nick Moon and Daisy O’Reilly as they embark on a new supernatural adventure. The first film was recently featured on season 13 of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Fighting Owl Films is seeking Gulf Coast talent to fill several lead and supporting roles. Positions are paid. The project is expected to film in Mobile, Alabama, in spring 2024. Character breakdowns are below. Interested parties should email a headshot and resume to fightingowlfilms@gmail.com

Hank Treme

Friend and mentor to Nick Moon. He’s a know-it-all inventor and paranormal expert with a gruff exterior, but a real soft spot for Moon. Eclectic Southern gentleman.

Detective Bert Fortier

30s - 40s

The somewhat clueless but very game liaison between city officials and Nick and Daisy. He’s always treading water to keep up with the otherworldly incidents he gets pulled into. Nick’s best friend and Daisy’s boyfriend.

Chari Divine

30s - 40s

A fraudulent psychic who’s heart is in the right place – she may not have mystical talents, but she wants to help people. Feisty, flirty and argumentative, Chari can go toe-to-toe with anyone, whether it’s a game of wits or fisticuffs. Larger than life, but it’s all an act. New Jersey accent a plus.

Lon

20s

A want-to-be creature of the night who’s just a hapless idiot. Comedic role.

Dogman

A hulking wolf-man creature terrorizing the city. This role requires the performer to wear a full-body creature suit and mask. Physical performance is important.

Adrienne

30s - 50s

A quiet and unassuming local woman with a secret. She’s no nonsense.

Carly

30s - 50s

Protective partner of Adrienne, and guardian of her secret. Imposing demeanor.

Corky

20s - 50s

A warrior creature that is uncharacteristically well-spoken. Heavy creature makeup. Comedic timing a plus.

Merry Widow

20s - 50s

The malevolent specter of a Merry Widow that haunts the city. Role requires makeup prosthetics, physical movement.

Colette

30s - 60s

A flirty diner waitress with a crush on Nick Moon.

Deputy Mayor Ingram

30s - 50s

The Mayor’s right-hand man. Shady, acts like a mob boss.

50s - 60s

The upstanding mayor of the city. Like a true politician, he has a great smile, warm presence and is capable of taking charge of any situation.

Aaron

Security guard. Sweet natured, little bit of a screw-up.

Joy Carlson

30s - 60s

Trusted local news anchor. On-air experience not necessary, but a plus.

Tina Bartleby

20s - 40s

Local news correspondent and investigative journalist. On-air experience not necessary, but a plus.
